Scrappy Pants

In 1998 for my sorority's "getting to know each other" activity we went to a scrapbook store.  FMW.  Since then I've been hooked on the hobby.  I love all things paper.  I made my own wedding invitations and paper goods, and I've made wedding invitations for 2 of my best friends.  I don't know what it is, but I just love playing with stickers and paper :)

It is a big social outlet for me too.  I try to get together with some of my girlfriends at least once a month and we just veg out, gossip, and scrap our memories.  In addition to those times, I've tried to treat myself yearly to a retreat -- and before you go making fun of me for being lame let me describe it -- no kids, no husband, no internet, no cleaning, no cooking, just you, your memories, and a bunch of girlfriends.  It is a great time and all the cooking and cleaning is taken care of.  It'd be even awesomer if they'd let us have alcohol, but at least that prevents me from scrapping like an…

Notes: Whew! Made it through Thanksgiving with nothing lost, nothing gained! I've got to keep on top of stuff and my stress is pretty high.  Wish I could get it lower, I think that would help me.

Tons has been studied and published on birth order with the following tending to be true.

This chart seems to sum up the general qualities nicely. (from my textbook)

Slimming Down Sunday - Week 45

Heading into Thanksgiving Glutton Week ---

Total Difference: -2 lbs

Notes: I'm back down to my lowest so far for this year's journey.  I bounced back from my weekend away and birthday cake bashing last week.  I hope I don't go crazy this week especially on Thursday. Gobble Gobble!

Here is my other upcoming challenge....I want bake a lot this holiday season, and while I don't eat a lot of what I bake I seem to still gain.  How do you curb snacking while baking?

My Gift Wish List

Ok, you've seen what is on the list for the boys' Christmas gifts this year, now enjoy what is on mine.

1. Cupcake Carrier  - I love that it is a round one and it collapses ($25)

2. Fall of Giants - This series is recommended to me by my brother and looks like something up my alley ($15)

3. FitBit - this looks like a cool gadget to help me towards my goal ($75)

4. Project Life Core Kit - I've got a ton of scrapbooking stuff, but I'd love to give this system a whirl ($30)

5. Aveda Tranquility Gift Set -  Love the products, hate the price.  I never spoil myself with this products and I should.  I never compromise on not going to an Aveda salon at least. ($75)

6. Cole Haan Ankle Boots - My pair I've had for years is starting to die and I figure a leather upgrade would be nice ($182- yeah, right)

Not sure I've been that good all year to receive everything on my list.  What's on your list?
